If you’ve found your way to this page, chances are you care deeply about your family and you’re looking for a little more support, clarity, or peace. I would love to take a moment to share my story with you and help you decide if I might be the right fit for your family.
I began my career as an elementary school teacher, then stepped away from the classroom to stay home and raise my own children. Later on, I returned to school to earn my Master’s in Social Work. After graduating, I worked as a school social worker before transitioning into private practice and eventually founding the Duran Center for Counseling and Coaching — a space created specifically to support families, parents, and especially moms through the complex seasons of life.
Why does this background matter? Because I have lived many of the same roles you are living right now. I know what it feels like to worry about your children. I know what it feels like to worry about your parents. I know what it’s like to be pulled in every direction, trying to be everything to everyone while quietly wondering where you fit in. I understand how hard it can be to set boundaries, to protect your time and energy, and to still hold onto your own identity as a woman, a wife, and a mom.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to help your child — or yourself — right now, you are not alone. One of the greatest gifts of going back to school and becoming a therapist was learning to truly understand my own emotions and patterns. I realized how often I relied on coping strategies that weren’t really helping me feel better, just helping me get through the day. I learned that boundaries are not selfish, that healthy communication is a skill that can be built, and that peace is something we can practice and grow. Those insights didn’t just change me; they shaped the way I now support other women and families.
Today, I help moms reduce anxiety, build confidence, and feel more grounded in their roles as women, partners, and parents. I work with families navigating anxiety, ADHD, school refusal, depression, addiction, and executive functioning challenges. My approach blends emotional understanding with practical, data-driven strategies you can actually use at home — because real change happens when insight meets action.
I love what I do, and I believe deeply in the resilience of the families I serve. If you’re here, know that you don’t have to do this alone — and that meaningful, lasting change is possible.
If you’re wondering whether parent or family coaching could help your home feel calmer, more connected, and more manageable, I invite you to schedule a free 15-minute family coaching call with me. It’s a simple, no-pressure way to talk through what’s going on and see if I can support you.
I’m so glad you found your way here. 💛
